最近、仕事上で英語でメールをやり取りするようになりました。
そのたびに英文レターの本の例文を切り貼りしながら
何とかやってます。
昨日受け取ったメールに注目すべき表現がありました。
I have briefed (人の名前) accordingly.
このaccordinglyです。
どこかで読んだ気がするのですが、日本人のよくある間違いに
accordinglyの使い方があるようです。
「したがって」で始まる文を、Accordingly, で始めてしまう
という間違いです。

「状況に応じて何かする」ということです。
今、辞書を見てみると、So; consequently という意味も載ってますね。
これはどういうことでしょう。私の勘違いでしょうか。

リーダーズではinがついて
（びっちりのスケジュールの中に）割り込ませる;押し込む
という意味で載ってました。
昨日のNHK教育の「ハートで感じる英文法」でいくと、
熟語なんてない、inのイメージで考えよう、という風に
考えたいです。
