If something dangles from somewhere or if you
dangle it somewhere, it hangs or swings loosely.

If you move in for the kill or if you close in for the kill,
you take advantage of a changed situation in order to do
something that you have been preparing to do.

フランクは独身でい続けたいなら，気をつけたほうがいい。
ジェーンが彼を射止めようと動き始めているから。

●size someone up 「（人を）評価する、（人を）品定めする」
──────────────────────────────
= weigh up
If you size up a person or situation, you carefully
look at the person or think about the situation,
so that you can decide how to act.

size upは俗語っぽい表現で「（人間性や人物を）評価する」の意。
また商取引の相手を「（あらかじめ）下調べする」とか、泥棒が目星
をつけた家を「下見する」などの意味もある。
The burglar sized up the house.（泥棒はその家を下見した）。
同じ「品定めする」でも「（品物や土地の価値を）評価する」
「値踏みする」の場合はappraiseが適切。

食品の裏側?みんな大好きな食品添加物
今日、スーパーで食パンを買うときに、添加物をチェック
したら、すんごい使われてて、選ぶに苦労しました。
結局一番使われていないのはやはり一番高い値段のものでした。
乳化材、イーストが使われていないというやつ。
でもブドウ糖果糖液糖はどのパンにも入ってました。
フランスパンが添加物は少なかったです。
パン一つ買うのも苦労するです。米でも炊くかなあ。
