では、Writers' Workshop 1月号いってみましょう。
A generally accepted view of disco was dancing to
the hard rhythm in a bustle in any country in the world.
But contrasting "silent disco" is now the rage in Netherlands.
Many young people are dancing to the rhythm absorbedly
on the dance floor. But you cannot hear that hard rhythm
or sound from the floor. The floor is as silent as the grave.
Moreover they all wear headphones and are dancing without
worrying about other people.
According to those on the inside track, when a rock music
festival called "Glastonbury Festival" was held in Britain
in June, neighbors complained about the noise lasting throughout
the night. The organizer therefore emphasized symbiosis
with the surrounding areas and provided young people with headphones
to create their own world with the sound from the headphones
and strengthen the ties of solidarity and pump up the festival.
The story goes that it caught on and has been thereafter here
to stay in the disco all over town as well.
