Engrish.comというおかしな日本語英語を掲載したサイトが
ありますが、中国にもありました、Chinglish。

世界には色々なバージョンのEnglishやChinglishに相当する
ものがあるようです。
日本語英語がEnglishと呼ばれるのは、そういうサイトがあるから
なのでしょう。 Japlish とも呼ばれているようです。

seemingはbetween後にあるので動名詞であるとのことです。
直訳調にいうと、次のようになるのでしょう。
「反応が少なすぎたり、多すぎたりするように見える間の
微妙な所を歩く必要がある。」
