NHKラジオ　ビジネス英会話　Guidelines for Blogging (5) 12/6-7 2006 引き続き、通訳案内士試験の２次試験のお話。

次のような質問があったと、前々回書きました。

　Q:パスポートなくした。どうしたよいか。
　A:大使館に行ってください。パスポート番号や写真があると再発行が楽です。

ハローのメルマガにはこの質問がないのでおかしいなあと思っていましたが、
次の質問はあったんですね。

　タクシーに財布つきのバッグを置き忘れてしまいました。
　どうしたらいいでしょうか？

パスポート　→　パース

まさか、、、purseをpassportと聞き間違えた！？
落ちてるかも、とやや不安。

＜正解＞
People in their 40s and 50s are very concerned about
physical aging in terms of skin health and appearance.

＜考察＞
40代 in their 40s
肌の健康 skin health


（２）マイクはスティーブに、社内の機密保持のためにすべきこと
とすべきでないことを注意した。(do's and don'ts)

Mike warned Steve about do's and don'ts for corporate security.

＜正解＞
Mike reminded Steve about do's and don'ts for office security.

＜考察＞
remindを使って、思い起こさせる／思い出させる、という表現。
warnでは表現が厳しすぎるのか。


（３）カメラが回らなくなると、その政治家は将来の税の引き上げ
は避けられないだろうと、記者たちはオフレコで語った。(off-the-record)

Upon the camera turned off, the politician talked off-the-record
that it would be inevitable tax hike in the future.

＜正解＞
Once the camera stopped rolling, the politician told the reporters
off-the-record that future tax hikes may be unavoidable.

＜考察＞
カメラが回る　roll
future tax hikes may be unavoidable のように短く、キレよく
行きたいものです。

私のit would be inevitable tax hikeって意味不明ですね。
