Japan proposes swift end to tariffs
日本とASEAN10ヶ国はEPA(Economic Partnership Agreements)
に合意しました。
EPAとはFTA（Free Trade Agreement）に似たもので、
関税がかからなくなります。
FTAとの違いは、EPAでは技術援助(technical aid)が含まれます。
日本はASEANに技術援助をする代わりに、米などの特定の農産物を
関税撤廃リストからはずすことにより、国内農家を守ろうという
裏の動機があります。
したがって、ASEAN諸国から日本への輸入に関しては、砂糖、米などを
除くものが対象です
90%の物の関税が撤廃されるだろうと言うことです。
