今日から始まるレッスンは、Green Wedding／エコ結婚式
というタイトルですが、アメリカでは本当にエコ結婚式
が流行ってきているようです。
New York Timesの記事、How Green Was My Weddingには
ビジ英のビニエットさながらのエコ結婚式の様子が描かれています。
しかし、やや行き過ぎの感じも見られます。
例えば、結婚式の前日にはエコツアーをします。
結婚式当日には参加者の乗ってきた飛行機のマイルにしたがって、
消費した二酸化炭素を取り返すために植樹をします。
料理は地元の食材を使用します。これも輸送にかかる石油を
節約するため。
英単語も今回のビニエットとかぶっていますので要チェックです。
